We were ready to officially support Barack Obama for president after he claimed the democratic nomination Wednesday, but what he and his wife did afterward really clinched it for us — Respect Knuckles!
Apparently, the media didn’t know what to call this form of reverence. Slate magazine explains:
“What’s hilarious is watching the formal, AP Stylebook-loving media trying to figure out what to call it. In an article about Obama’s body man Reggie Love, the New York Times called Love’s preferred greeting a “closed-fisted high-five.” Last night produced other assorted references:
“Taking a fist-pound from wife Michelle, Obama stepped to the podium Tuesday”—MTV.com
“Obama, began with a loving fist to fist thumbs up with Michelle.”—Capitol Hill Blue
“I loved that moment, when they touched their hands together like that.” –Commenter, bjkeefe”

Great blog. And did you see where Barack is talking about the birthday party for his daughter this Saturday with 7 seven-year-olds. He says some call it a “sleep-over,” he calls it a “wake-over.!
How refreshing this all is. Knuckles and all!!!!

Apparently the writer of this blog and the media are focused on very important topics, like Obama’s attempt at looking cool in public. Perhaps someday, someone, somewhere, might discuss Obama’s voting record. I guess for now, the more serious voter will just have to be content with all the mindless cheer leading and the cult-like worship of the most liberal man to ever run to president.
May God save America.

If you have the time to leave rude messages on our blog, then perhaps you should consider writing about Obama’s voting record. (I’ve included some links at the bottom of this comment to get you started).
We’re certainly distressed over the state of our country, especially because we’re the generation that will have to clean up this awful mess of war and debt. If a candidate offers a little bit of hope that things can change for the better, he’s got my vote.
May rational thinking save America from the likes of McCain, Bush, Cheney and Rove.
